The story

An elegant batter and crafty leg-spinner, Daksh was Player of the Tournament at the SCA U15 JID League 2025, with 122 runs, 9 wickets and three straight Player of the Match awards.

Daksh picked up a bat at six in India. Inspired by watching the greats on TV, he was forever trying to recreate their shots, and at ten, after moving to Singapore, he began playing with the leather ball. What started as a childhood passion has grown into a pursuit of excellence built on hard work and discipline.

At 12 he set himself a goal: to make fitness a core part of his game. He worked relentlessly on his stamina and endurance so he could make an impact with the bat, with the ball and in the field, and become a complete all-rounder.

The work paid off in the SCA U15 JID League 2025. Daksh was named Player of the Tournament after scoring 122 runs and taking 9 wickets in four matches, including three Player of the Match awards in a row. His best so far include 72 from 57 balls in T20 cricket, figures of 4/12 from four overs with his leg-spin, and an unbeaten 51 at U17 level in India.

Singapore cricket, he says, is full of talented and passionate players, even if the rain and unpredictable weather make consistent outdoor practice a challenge. His next goals are to represent Singapore at U16 and U19 level.
